The Ancient Theatre of Orange and its surroundings



The Ancient Theatre of Orange is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981. Located in the Rhône Valley, the ancient theater of Orange, with its 103-meter-long façade wall, is one of the best-preserved among the grand Roman theaters. Built between 10 and 25 AD, the Roman Triumphal Arch of Orange is one of the most beautiful and interesting provincial triumphal arches from the Augustan era that has survived, adorned with bas-reliefs depicting the establishment of Pax Romana.

The Cascades du Sautadet



The Cascades du Sautadet are located in La Roque sur Cèze in Gard. Formed by the Cèze River, the Cascades are a series of impressive waterfalls! An iconic site to discover during a nature-filled stay in Gard! The most spectacular features are the 'marmites de géants' (giant's kettles). These are cylindrical cavities (some several meters in diameter) carved into the rocky riverbed by the swirling movement of pebbles. These limestone rocks are 5 million years old...

The cave of Aven d'Orgnac



The Aven d'Orgnac, located in the town of Orgnac-l'Aven near the Ardèche gorges and the Cèze valley, is classified as a Grand Site de France. During a guided one-hour tour, admire its grand halls adorned with splendid concretions, its 'stacked plates' formations, 'palm trees' reaching up to 17 meters in height, and its majestic draperies! In the Red Room, 121 meters deep, an enchanting sound and light show beautifully complements the exploration of the cave.

Vaison la Romaine



Vaison-la-Romaine... A name that unmistakably hints at its Roman past! Located in Vaucluse, this city indeed boasts a rich antique heritage represented by the impressive remains of Villasse and Puymin. Spanning about fifteen hectares, these two sites bear witness to the extent and wealth of the ancient Gallo-Roman city of Vasio, forming the largest archaeological field in France!
